Why bromantics?

Well, sometimes in life you meet a friend with whom you connect, in this instance; a bromance. Both of us being fans of ‘New Wave’ and ‘New Romantics’ the name was born and most importantly it connects us... as friends.

WHAT ARE WE ABOUT?

We are a company that wants to make projects with passion. Stories that have a meaning, connect us, make us laugh, cry, think, feel and question. We want to work with everyone from every background, to hear voices, bring ideas to life and make content for all.

WHO ARE WE?

BROMANTICS are writer/producer/director trio; Stefan D’Bart, Ward Trowman and Luke Taylor.

With backgrounds spanning across all areas of production; long & short form, accounting, plus home entertainment & distribution, the team are well placed both creatively and financially to run a successful business.

Bromantics first feature was the 4x BAFTA nominated and 4x BIFA award-winning feature; BOILING POINT, starring Stephen Graham.

Their second film A VIOLENT MAN starring Craig Fairbrass, Stephen Odubola and Jason Flemyng was released theatrically and digitally in the UK in 2022 and ROTW 2023/24. It was also a No. 1 hit on Netflix.

In 2024 the feature GASSED UP with BAFTA-nominated director George Amponsah was released both theatrically and on Amazon Prime [UK], the film held fast at No2, just behind Road House. It also received the Best Feature Audience Award at the BFI LFF 2023.

The company currently have a number of deals across both films and TV; including a co-production deal with Fifth Season for an 8x60 TV entitled THE MOULIE with director Peter Hoar [It’s a Sin, The Last of Us], based on the true story of the first LGBTQ+ night-club in Bristol in 1970.
